Nigel founded the advertising agency BBH with John Bartle and John Hegarty in 1982.

He has overall responsibility for the strategic direction of the business, as well as remaining closely involved with several of the agency’s clients. Nigel has driven the company’s ambitions in advertiser funded programming, brand invention and engagement planning. Campaign magazine has described Nigel as having built ‘one of the most admired advertising agencies on the planet’ and in 2006 and 2007, Campaign voted him the leading Chief Executive in the advertising industry.
